WE KNOW HOW YOU FEEL

No cure, little relief, cause or causes unknown or bewilderingly confusing to today’s medical science.  Arthritis is pervasive, degenerative, harmful to the wellness of Canadians and the economy, and in some cases even fatal.  Therefore, it is not surprising that sufferers seek help and support to triumph over day-to-day challenges that others would not even think about twice.

That is why AWISH stands out from the rest.  We are sufferers helping those in kind and we can truly empathize and mean it when we say, "WE KNOW HOW YOU FEEL".  We also inspire our members to refuse to become victims.  Rather, we encourage them to take control of this terrible disease by empowering themselves with the most up-to-date and relevant information.  Studies show that informed and educated patients can actually experience a reduction in the chronic pain that is the hallmark of arthritis, as well as reducing their medical costs.

We also know that the extremely high arthritis-related disability rates reflect the inadequacies of current arthritis therapies over the long term (10 years or more).  This means that more, not fewer, people will need help, information and resources in which AWISH aims to be there to help supply these necessary tools.
